Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
Scope of the policy and the products or services it covers
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses and related services offered by infokite through its website. The courses focus on specialised training in live production decks and control rooms, including multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation, and professional management of television and streaming productions. It covers both individual course enrolments and any bundled training packages delivered digitally or through live sessions conducted from our United Kingdom base. This policy governs payments made by consumers located in the United Kingdom and explains the terms under which refunds may be requested or granted.
Prices, currencies, taxes, and any additional charges
All prices displayed on the website are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Course fees include applicable value added tax at the prevailing UK rate where required by law. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access to recorded sessions or supplementary materials, and these will be clearly indicated before checkout. No hidden fees are added after the point of purchase. Currency conversion charges imposed by your payment provider remain your responsibility and are not controlled by infokite.
Accepted payment methods, payment authorisation, and payment security
We accept major credit and debit cards, bank transfers where pre-arranged, and other secure electronic payment methods processed through compliant gateways. Payment authorisation occurs at the time of order placement. All transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption protocols to protect card details and personal information in accordance with UK data protection legislation including the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.
Order, booking, or service confirmation and when a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you receive an email confirmation following successful payment. This confirmation outlines the specific course details, start dates if applicable, and access instructions. Until this point no binding agreement exists. For live sessions, booking confirmation secures your place subject to availability.
Cancellation rights and applicable cancellation periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving confirmation without providing a reason. For digital course content that begins immediately upon access, this right may be lost once you start downloading or streaming materials. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via the contact form on our Contacts page or by emailing [email protected].
Refund eligibility, exclusions, and non-refundable items or services
Refunds are available within the statutory cooling-off period provided no substantial course content has been accessed. Exclusions apply to services already delivered, personalised training sessions, and promotional offers where the discount was conditional on full attendance. Non-refundable items include any physical materials shipped or digital certificates issued upon completion.
The step-by-step procedure and information required to request a refund
To request a refund, first log into your account and note the order reference. Then contact us through the form on the Contacts page or email [email protected] providing your full name, order number, date of purchase, and a brief explanation. Include any supporting evidence such as screenshots of access issues if relevant. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two working days.
Inspection, approval, rejection, and notification of the refund decision
Upon receipt your request will be reviewed against the policy criteria. We will inspect records of course access and payment status. You will receive written notification of approval or rejection within 14 days, including reasons for any refusal. Approved refunds proceed automatically while rejected cases include information on how to appeal or escalate.
Refund method, processing time, and when funds should reach the customer
Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, though bank transfer refunds may take up to fourteen days to appear depending on your financial institution. You will be notified once the refund has been initiated.
Special rules for digital content, subscriptions, services, or promotional offers where relevant
Digital courses are treated as digital content under UK law. Access begins immediately upon payment for most offerings, waiving the standard cooling-off period once consumption starts. Subscriptions, if offered, allow cancellation at any renewal date but do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods. Promotional bundles are non-refundable once redeemed.
Failed payments, duplicate charges, chargebacks, and suspected fraud
Failed payments will result in temporary suspension of access until resolved. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly upon notification and corrected where verified. Chargebacks are treated as disputes and may lead to account review. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to relevant authorities and may result in permanent refusal of service without refund.
Mandatory consumer rights in the target country that the policy cannot exclude
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or UK GDPR. You retain the right to remedies for faulty digital content or services not provided with reasonable care and skill. These rights cannot be limited or excluded by contract terms.
